CORDIS had an (almost) front-row seat for the ‘Future of Building 2019’ conference organised by the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber (WKÖ) in majestic (and very hot!) Vienna on Tuesday 4 June. We also attended the event’s dedicated Austrian Green Planet Building Awards later that evening.
CORDIS hatte auf der Konferenz „Future of Building 2019“, die von der Wirtschaftskammer Österreich (WKÖ) am Dienstag, den 4. Juni, majestätisch (und überaus ansprechend!) in Wien veranstaltet wurde, einen Sitzplatz in (fast) vorderster Reihe. Wir wohnten im weiteren Verlauf des Abends zudem den „Austrian Green Planet Building“-Awards bei, denen das Ereignis gewidmet ist.
Strategia Komisji Europejskiej opublikowana w 2018 roku zakłada osiągnięcie celu, jakim jest całkowicie neutralna klimatycznie gospodarka do 2050 roku. Konferencja EUBCE 2019 w Lizbonie pokazała, że realizacja tego założenia z pewnością będzie opierać się na czymś więcej, niż tylko i wyłącznie osiągnięciach technicznych. Poza inwestycjami wymagana jest bowiem także przekrojowa współpraca.
Affinché la strategia 2018 della Commissione europea per un’economia a impatto climatico zero entro il 2050 abbia successo, come è stato sottolineato dalla conferenza EUBCE 2019 a Lisbona, essa non potrà basarsi soltanto sui progressi tecnici. Oltre agli investimenti, avrà bisogno anche di svariate collaborazioni.
Pour que la stratégie 2018 de la Commission européenne pour une économie neutre pour le climat d’ici 2050 porte ses fruits, la conférence EUBCE 2019, qui s’est tenue à Lisbonne, a insisté sur le fait que les progrès techniques ne suffiront pas à eux seuls à atteindre cet objectif. Outre les investissements, il y a lieu d’engager des collaborations tous azimuts.
El congreso EUBCE 2019, celebrado en Lisboa (Portugal), destacó que la estrategia de 2018 de la Comisión Europea para una economía neutra desde el punto de vista del clima para 2050 no tendrá éxito si se basa solo en avances técnicos. Además de inversiones, también necesitará una variedad de colaboraciones.
If the European Commission’s 2018 strategy for a climate neutral economy by 2050 is to succeed, the EUBCE 2019 conference in Lisbon underlined that it will not do so based on technical advances alone. As well as investment, it will require a range of collaborations.

Last week the 27th European Biomass Conference and Exhibition (EUBCE) was hosted in Lisbon, Portugal. This key event explored the potential of biomass to help achieve sustainable development and climate targets. CORDIS was proudly in attendance.
Letzte Woche wurde die 27. europäische Konferenz und Ausstellung zum Thema Biomasse, die European Biomass Conference and Exhibition (EUBCE), in Lissabon, Portugal, veranstaltet. Auf dieser wichtigen Veranstaltung wurde untersucht, welches Potenzial Biomasse hat, um einen Beitrag für eine nachhaltige Entwicklung und zu den Klimaziele zu leisten. CORDIS war stolzer Teilnehmer.
